SAWA means Together in Arabic.

SAWA SoCal is a Palestinian educational nonprofit rooted in the belief that identity flourishes in community. Through workshops, cultural events, and intergenerational gatherings, we create spaces where Palestinian youth can deepen their connection to their history, language, traditions, and collective story. Our work centers belonging, pride, and continuity — ensuring that Palestinian culture is not only remembered, but lived, celebrated, and carried forward.

Educating and fostering cultural identity

By hosting educational workshops, youth summer camps, paint nights, dabke workshops and many other cultural events, we hope to foster identity and education about Palestinian heritage

Our annual park events, communal gatherings, and workshops help build a strong community centered around tradition and growth
